Safeguarding

At Acorn Academy, The Governing Committee and Staff are committed to:

What to do if you are worried about a pupil

  • It is important that you share your concerns with the Designated (DSL) or Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL).
  • The school office will make arrangements for you to speak to them directly.

 

 

  • In any situation, if you believe any child is in imminent danger or at risk of immediate harm, please contact the Police by dialling 999

 

What to do if you have concerns about a member of staff

  • If you are concerned about the conduct of a member of staff, you must report this to the Headteacher.
  • If your concern is about the Headteacher, you must report this to the Trust CEO, Mr Mark Farmer.

  • We take safeguarding very seriously in our school.
  • Everyone in school has a role to play in keeping children safe, although there are key people with specific responsibilities
